A reading corner, a soil-testing station, and a miniature neighborhood will share the floor at this year’s Student Learning Expo. Students from Maple Grove, Riverside, and Cedar Ridge are preparing demonstrations that visitors can try for themselves. The expo takes place Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Cedar Ridge High School commons. Enter through the main doors on Summit Avenue. Student hosts will have a floor plan and can point families toward quieter activities or hands-on displays. Come for twenty minutes or stay for the evening. There is no admission charge, and younger siblings are welcome. The district family office will be available to help visitors find school and community resources.

At Maple Grove, children learn through daily reading, hands-on math, and questions about the world around them. Kindergarteners work with fifth-grade book buddies, while second graders keep sunflower journals and compare measurements.
