Cedar Ridge agriculture students are checking how evenly a drip line waters the greenhouse beds. Teams measured flow at several points, compared the results, and adjusted the layout before planting the next crop of greens.
The project combines plant science with practical maintenance. Students must explain their design choices and leave clear notes so the next class can keep the system working. Their crop plan also accounts for school breaks and the time needed to harvest.
Visitors can see the greenhouse at the student-led tour on October 23 from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Meet at the east greenhouse gate and wear shoes suitable for gravel paths.
