A small light turning on drew a big reaction at Riverside’s open lab. Students invited family members to trace a circuit, test a switch, and work out why one connection stopped the current.
The evening introduced the design lab’s approach: begin with a question, build a small model, and keep a record of each change. Student guides demonstrated how they use diagrams to explain a problem before reaching for another part.
The Robotics Pit Night on October 15 will offer a closer look at the next challenge. Families can visit Lab 104 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.; students will demonstrate their prototypes at 5:45 and 6:15.
